The Solution

Reset the Clock on Flexi Hose Risk

First and foremost, you must know the age of your flexi hoses as the starting point. From there, we provide a clear path to protection.

Understanding the Risk

What is a flexi hose?

A flexi hose (also called a flexible connector or braided hose) is a short, braided stainless steel hose that connects your water supply pipes to taps, basins, toilets, and laundry troughs. They replaced rigid copper connections because they are cheaper and faster to install.

The problem is inside: a rubber or PEX liner carries the water pressure, and that liner degrades over time. When it fails, water flows at full mains pressure with no shutoff. Most homeowners have never checked them.

Where they are

Under kitchen sinks, bathroom basins, behind toilets, and connected to laundry troughs. In some instances, flexi hoses are installed in concealed cavity walls and property owners are not aware they even exist unless identified by a professional during an audit.

Why they fail

The inner rubber liner corrodes with age, water quality, and pressure. Failure is sudden with no advance warning.

Three steps to peace of mind

Our process is straightforward, thorough, and fully documented for your records and your insurer.

01

Schedule Your Flexi Hose Audit

Book a site inspection and we will identify every flexi hose connection in your property, document its age and condition, and assess the risk level. You receive a detailed photo report.

02

Reset the Clock with Certified Replacements

Install new WaterMark-approved flexi hoses, initiating a fresh warranty period. Every replacement is tagged, photographed, and you receive a certificate as proof of renewal.

03

Rest Easy with Ongoing Awareness

Stay protected by knowing the install date and warranty period as a reminder for upcoming future maintenance. Planned replacement is always better than emergency response.

  • Insurance-ready documentation

Additional safeguards for your property

Beyond standard replacements, these solutions provide extra layers of protection.

Flood Stop Valves

Automatic water supply shutoff valves that detect abnormal flow rates and trigger immediately during a hose failure. These prevent catastrophic flooding by cutting the water supply within seconds.

Positioned as supplementary protection rather than a primary defence. Not all installations can accommodate these solutions, which is determined during the site assessment.

Copper Connection Alternatives

Fixed copper piping replacements that eliminate the risk of burst hoses entirely. Copper provides a permanent, maintenance-free alternative.

Suitability is determined on-site during the audit. Not every connection can be converted, but where possible, copper provides the highest level of protection available.
